An album of collaborative performances by pianist Taeko Kurita, who is active primarily in improvisational live performances and has played with Akira Sakata and Takeshi Shibuya, and drummer/improviser Akira Sotoyama, known for his participation in Shibusashirazu Orchestra and collaborations with Keiji Haino. This recording captures a live performance held in 2023 at the venue ＜Shicho-shitsu＞ in Jimbocho, featuring improvisational renditions based on Kurita’s original compositions. The interplay between the rustling, tactile sounds of drums and percussion and the clear yet warm melodies of the piano is delightful, conveying the serene atmosphere of the venue. Highly recommended for a listen.
