A double album released in 1985 by Terry Riley, one of the leading composers of minimal contemporary music, featuring compositions composed between 1980 and 1984, in collaboration with The Kronos Quartet, with whom Terry Riley has maintained a long and successful relationship and who is also known for performing Steve Reich's works. This full-length recording is a collaboration with The Kronos Quartet, a string quartet of violins, violas, and cellos. The music has a gentle, modern-classical atmosphere, but it is also a minimalist masterpiece, with multiple melodies overlapping as if to express the ups and downs of emotions, creating a unique sound.
