This is a 1971 leader album by the internationally acclaimed Japanese trumpeter Terumasa Hino, who has been active at the forefront of the music scene since the 1960s. The album was recorded in Berlin, Germany, in the same year, featuring a quartet with strong musicians such as Heinz Sauer (tenor saxophone), Peter Warren (bass), and Pierre Favre (drums). The album delivers a series of outstanding performances, ranging from the gentle opening that evokes the horizon of a sunset in A1 to the powerful improvisations, as well as B2 where Pierre Favre's ethnic percussion scatters throughout the space. Throughout the album, there is a continuous interplay full of tension, creating avant-garde jazz at its finest. This is the original German pressing with an uncoated sleeve.
