This is a leader album released in 1979 by Dave Liebman, a saxophonist who has visited Japan as a member of the Miles Davis Group and has recorded masterpieces for various labels including ECM. The quintet is an ironclad lineup of Randy Brecker (tp), Richard Beirach (p), Frank Tusa (b), and Al Foster (dr), who create tense, spiritual, funky hard bop/modal jazz in the vein of the Miles Davis group. The title track on the A-side is 18 minutes long, and the two tracks on the B-side are 7 minutes long. It is always worth listening to. This is an original US vinyl with VAN GELDER stamped on it.
