George Gruntz, the Swiss composer/pianist who has been active since the early 60's and has left behind excellent works that absorb ethnic and classical music, including Noon in Tunisia and Eternal Baroque. This album was released in 1983, features Charlie Mariano, Dino Saluzzi, Palle Mikkelborg, Julian Priester, Howard Jonson, Mark Egan, Bob Moses, and many others. Saluzzi's sweet and emotional bandoneon and Mikkelborg's mute trumpet floating in the urban atmosphere. The album is full of ethnic flavor. The vocals of the female singer, Sheila Jordan, are also excellent. You can enjoy the whole album.
