sleeve : EX-(CC, some wear on side and corner)

A 1971 album by The Latin Jazz Quartet, led by percussionist Juan Amalbert, who had already released the acclaimed self-titled album in 1961 and also recorded with artists including Shirley Scott and Eric Dolphy. For this session, Pharoah Sanders appears as the featured guest artist, alongside a total of 16 additional guests including Cornell Dupree. A1 is a highly danceable track driven by fast, percussive Latin rhythms and a thick, powerful horn ensemble, while B3 incorporates elements of soul and rock. Throughout the album, the group delivers superb performances steeped in Latin rhythms such as mambo and cha-cha-cha. A fantastic Latin jazz album from start to finish.
