This album was released in 1987 by The New Percussion Group of Amsterdam, featuring Bill Bruford, a member of Yes and King Crimson, and Keiko Abe, a Japanese marimba player. In addition to works by Ruud Wiener, Niels Learge, and Peter Prommel, the group also performs music by the Japanese music group Minoru Miki. Although in the field of contemporary music, the entire album features a superb percussion ensemble that also has a sense of psychedelics and primitivism that is reminiscent of Mickey Hart's Diga Rhythm Band and Max Roach's M'Boom. The B1 by Minoru Miki is a wonderful composition with a Japanese flavor that is sublimated into a modern style. Highly recommended.
