First album released in 1972 by the Taj-Mahal Travellers, an experimental music group formed in 1969 with Takehisa Kosugi at the helm, and featuring Tokiho Hasegawa, Kiyoharu Nagai, Ryu KOike, Michihiro Kimura, Yukio Tsuchiya and Kinji Hayashi. It contains recordings from a live performance at Sogetsu Kaikan Hall in Akasaka, Tokyo, on 15 July of the same year. The improvisation of stringed instruments such as violin, double bass, guitar and santoor, percussion, harmonica and trumpet is deeply reverberated via an echo machine, creating a unique sound that cannot be categorised as either contemporary music or psychedelic rock, creating a fourth world of unparalleled avant-garde music. Not much music is as immersive as this. The sound quality is also extremely superb. This is a 1975’s reissue.
