Released in 1982, this is an album by Tom Ehrlich, a Shanghai-born German keyboard player who is also a student of Stockhausen and a student of ethnic African drum music for over 15 years. Both sides of the album feature over 19 minutes of ultra-meditative new age music with acoustic piano and synthesizers. The minimalist refrain on the A-side gradually changes to create a cosmic pattern, while the earth-shaking bass drum, spacy pad synths, and beautiful piano on the B-side transport the listener's consciousness to faraway places. I think this is a totally underrated album, but I personally think it is a masterpiece.
