This is the third album released in 1978 by Tomoko Soryo, a Japanese singer-songwriter who started her career as a member of the chorus group Brown Rice and made her solo debut in 1976. Produced by her husband Yasunori Soryo. No player names are listed, but it is assumed that the album was backed by skilled session musicians of the time. In terms of sound, this album has American soul, Latin/Caribbean taste, as represented by Motown, which Haruomi Hosono and Tin Pan Alley brought to the Japanese pop scene. The arrangements and performances are excellent, with a Latin/Caribbean flavor that is more like what we would call city pop today.
