Released in 1966 as the fourth installment of a series compiling the works of the great Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, who transcended the framework of contemporary music and undertook various experimental endeavors. The album features performances by the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and the piano played by Toshi Ichiyanagi. The A-side is conducted by Hiroshi Wakasugi, and the B-side is conducted by Hiroyuki Iwaki. The composition captures the inherent cycles of all living creatures and the beautiful forms and order in the cells of living organisms, orchestrated into a magnificent suite composed of six parts. This is an original pressing with the catalog number VX-22 and includes the obi strip.
