media : EX/EX(some slightly noise.)

A deluxe box set released in 1977 by Gale Maximum Fidelity Recording, the British label founded by Ira Gale, which produced only a handful of classical and contemporary titles between 1976 and 1983. Conducted by John Eliot Gardiner—who was active in the 1960s organizing The Monteverdi Choir and The Monteverdi Orchestra—and performed by the Tristan Fry Percussion Ensemble, this recording features works for percussion by Carlos Chávez (Mexico), Alan Hovhaness (USA), and José Serebrier (Uruguay). Beyond the superb performances, what truly stands out is the exceptional quality of the recording and pressing, as well as the meticulous craftsmanship of the packaging—every detail reveals an obsessive level of care. The sessions were recorded without compression or any form of signal processing, with a frequency response of 27 Hz–22 kHz (±1 dB) and a master tape dynamic range exceeding 86 dB. The vinyl itself was pressed using a proprietary compound specially developed by Gale. It’s a real shame that such extraordinary recording and manufacturing techniques have not been carried forward to the present day.Complete with all original inserts and accessories.
