This album was released in 1956 by Anyaogu Elekwachi Ukou, son of TV personality Chief Elekwachi, and learned to play percussion at the age of 6 and was a member of the Nigerian group Igbo Tribe, and his group, Afro-Calypsonians, released in 1956. Although details of the musical style are not available, the sound is very primitive with percussion groups, flutes, and chants, and the entire album is an excellent piece of light music that is a mixture of Nigerian folk music and the music of Africans who were brought to the Caribbean by the slave trade.
