A 1985 compilation released by the American label Gramavision, known for a wealth of high-quality new age and contemporary jazz recordings. The album brings together seven tracks selected from releases by five different artists: one track from Terry Riley and the Kronos Quartet’s Cadenza on the Night Plain, two from Yas-Kaz’s Egg of Prana, one each from Kitaro’s Silk Road and Tunhuang, one from Steven Halpern & Dallas Smith’s Natural Light, and one from Paul Horn & Steven Halpern’s Connections. All of the source albums are excellent in their own right, but the Yas-Kaz selections A2 and A3 are especially captivating.
A2: Yas-Kaz “Mdlles. Steinberg”
A3: Yas-Kaz “Egg of Prana”
