The fourth installment of the <Electronic Music> series, released in 1969 on the Turnabout label, launched in 1965 as part of the Classical/Contemporary line by Vox Productions Inc. This compilation features six winning compositions from <The First International Electronic Music Competition>, held in 1968 at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. The tracks showcase early electronic music created in experimental music studios such as the University of Illinois, the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center, the Experimental Music Studio in Warsaw, Poland, and a studio within a radio station in Czechoslovakia. The pieces present intriguing content, allowing listeners to experience early electronic music featuring pure electronic sounds produced using devices like electronic modulators and attenuators.
