This masterpiece album, released on Jugoton in the former Yugoslavia, is a compilation of works by six artists recorded between 1980 and 1983 by the International Jazz Federation, an international music organization headed by UNESCO. Klatt Quartet (former East Germany), Jazz Fragment Prague (Czech Republic) led by Alex Faix, Karlheinz Miklin Trio (Austria), Gut-Markovic Sextet (Yugoslavia), Harry Happel's Introduction (Netherlands), and the Teemu Salminen Quartet (Finland). All of the tracks are excellent, with spiritual jazz full of tension, but A2 by Jazz Fragment Prague with its funky and psychedelic groove and A3 by Karlheinz Miklin Trio with its mysterious ethno-jazz atmosphere are the most highly recommended.
