This is a 2-CD compilation album of recordings from a 1984 festival held at Paradiso, a live house in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Twelve local Dutch artists participated, but I don't recognize any of them because they are so minor. The styles range from rock, pop, fusion, new wave, soul, and world music, but the best ones are Magrib and Makena Band on side C, and Impulse and Mapoga on side D. I highly recommend the Macky Feary Band and Impulse's performance, which is reminiscent of Hawaiian rock such as Kalapana and Tender Leaf. (Chee)
