The third album in the "Music for Percussion" series by Sound-Star-Ton, a small label in Steuerberg, a small town in northwestern Germany, was released in 1986. On the A-side, the percussion ensemble team of KONServatorium, a music school in Karlsruhe, Germany, performs scores by Ursla Euteneuer-Rohrer, John Cage, and Mitchell Peters, and on the B-side, Ecole des Percussions de Strasbourg, a percussion school in Strasbourg, France, which many of you may know. Percussions de Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France, and on the B-side, the ensemble team of the Ecole des Percussions de Strasbourg plays scores by Karlheinz Stockhausen and eight other composers. It is interesting to note that not only John Cage and Stockhausen, but also Chick Corea's solo piano work "Children's Song" published by ECM is featured. A3, a vibraphone performance of Mitchell Peters' score, is also very nice.
A2: John Cage “Amores (Piano and Percussion)”
A3: Mitchell Peters “Yellow After the Rain”
B6: Chick Corea “Children’s Song I”
