This is a 1970 album that features field recordings of festival music, known as "matsuri hayashi," which is passed down in various regions of Japan. With narration by the voice actor Toru Ohira, whose deep bass voice may be familiar to those born in the Showa era, the album includes recordings of local performances such as Gion Bayashi and Rokusainenbutsu from Kyoto, Ohdaiko from Yamashiro, Yatai Bayashi from Chichibu, O-Suwa Daiko from Nagano, Gion Taiko from Kokura, Kasai Bayashi from Tokyo, and Omochinorijo Daiko from Wajima. These recordings provide a vivid sense of presence with the immersive sound of SX68. It has an incredible groove. This is a well-preserved item with a cap band and insert included.
