A compilation album released in 1987 on Private Music, the ambient label founded by Peter Baumann—original member of Tangerine Dream and owner of Paragon Studio, where key Kraut-electronics figures like Conrad Schnitzler and Roedelius recorded. Alongside Yanni, who also released works on the label, the album features pieces by synthesist Suzanne Ciani, jazz pianist Joachim Kühn, and Michael Riesman, longtime collaborator of Philip Glass. Ciani contributes one track each from Seventh Waves and The Velocity of Love, plus a new work recorded specifically for this project at Yanni’s studio. Kühn offers an original composition recorded in a New York temple. Riesman provides a track co-produced with Glass. A superb collection of piano-driven ambient works, including unique material only available here—highly recommended listening.

A4: Joachim Kuhn “Read Your Eyes”
