Pierre Cardin (Japan) 1973
NCP-9006-PC (LP) Promotional copy, gatefold sleeve, insert.
sleeve : VG+(TEOC, color-faded on some parts.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good.)

This is a compilation album released by French fashion designer Pierre Cardin, whose label has been releasing only music that interests him, regardless of genre, such as jazz and rock, since the early 70s. This is a Japanese pressing produced in 1973 with the cooperation of Nippon Columbia. As the title suggests, this work is a compilation of music that manifests the spirit of the East. A1 is the first number of "November Steps" composed by Toru Takemitsu, performed by Katsuya Yokoyama and biwa player Kinshi Tsuruta. A2 is a duet of Yokoyama’s shakuhachi and Shin Miyashita's 17-stringed instrument. B1 is the main piece of old traditional shakuhachi music called “Shika No Tone (The Distant Sound of a Deer)” by a wind duet. B2/B3 is a solo performance by Yokoyama for music of Wadatsumido. You can see Cardin's deep knowledge and sense of style.

A2: 十七絃、尺八のための二重奏曲
B1: 本曲・鹿の遠音
