Released from the <Music of the World> series by Monitor Records of the United States, this album features folk music by gypsies from the Balkan Peninsula. The Balkan Peninsula is a region that covers a wide area from the border of Serbia and Bulgaria to the Black Sea coast, and has been invaded by the Ottoman Empire and Mongols in the past. The program is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the diverse musical culture of the Middle East with its wonderful performances and songs. The melody of A7 sounds familiar, but I can't remember where I've heard it.
