A 1979 album by Viguen, an Iranian pop singer of Armenian descent who mastered both Persian and Armenian languages and made a name for himself across the Middle East. Viguen immigrated to the United States in 1971 and based himself in Los Angeles, where this album was recorded in a Hollywood studio. Utilizing synthesizers extensively, Viguen blended disco and Latin flavors with traditional Persian scales, creating a unique Iranian pop sound typical of that era. The album is a precious find, offering a glimpse into the musical landscape of the time. Despite its release coinciding with his exile from Iran due to the revolution, the music remains upbeat and vibrant, showcasing a compatibility with Japanese popular songs as well.
