This is a collaborative album released in 1979 by the Romanian vocal group Vocal Jazz Quartet and the jazz quintet Cvintetul Instrumental Radu Ghiasan, led by Radu Ghiasan. The renowned pianist Marius Pop, who has also released excellent solo albums, makes a guest appearance. While it is essentially a straight-ahead modern jazz/swing jazz work, it includes groovy, nice soul jazz tracks such as B1, which features a superb combination of light rhythm and Hammond organ, and B4, with its cool Latin-like percussion rhythm and muted trumpet. Side A mainly features swinging jazz vocals by the Vocal Jazz Quartet. (Chee)
