An album released in 1970 by Crown Records as part of the Japanese National Music Series. It features Edo festival music played during the Hie Sanno and Kanda Myojin festivals, also known as Tenka Matsuri, performed on floats and portable stages. The music is performed by the Wakayama Taneo Shachu, led by Taneo Wakayama, head of the Wakayama school of Edo Sato-Kagura, which is designated as an Intangible Cultural Property of Tokyo. Side A presents the basic repertoire with five recurring parts: "Yatai," "Shoden," "Kamakura," "Yonchohme," "Yonchohme Age," and "Yatai." Side B features a suite arranged by Wakayama, consisting of a unique combination of eight rare sections. The recording quality is exceptional, making it a must-listen.
