This is a masterpiece album released in 1974 by Watatsumido, a bamboo flute player who established his own style of "Watatsumido" with his unique philosophy and technique, and was highly praised by Toru Takemitsu and ethnomusicologist Fumio Koizumi. It is not a performance of a piece of music, but a recording of "dokyoku," a study of sounds produced by blowing, which is different from the concept of shakuhachi played by eminent monks in the so-called samurai lineage, but it has the same underlying Buddhist spirit. I would like to face the investigation of the sound slowly.
