This is the 1983 album released by the American trumpeter Woody Shaw, known for his participation in sessions with groups like Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver Quintet, Joe Henderson Quintet, and leaving numerous masterpieces with his own groups. The album features live recordings from a concert held at Osteria delle Dame in Bologna, Italy, with the quintet including Steve Turre (trombone), Mulgrew Miller (piano), Stanford James (bass), and Tony Reedus (drums). Opening with dramatic piano, the title track A2 unfolds emotionally alongside a groovy brazilian feeling’s rhythm section. On B2, a cover of a composition by Clare Fischer. Throughout the recording, including reinterpretations of tracks from the 1980 release 'For Sure,' Woody Shaw showcases performances filled with a sense of soaring, characterized by a bright touch.
A2: Time is Right
B2: We’ll be Together Again
