Yoshiko Goto is a Japanese jazz singer who joining Eiji Kitamura & the Rhythm Mates in the 1950s and performing with Sharp Flats in the 1960s. This album was released in 1981 with the ironclad trio of Masahiko Sato (p), Masahiko Togashi (per), and Nobuyoshi Ino (b), and she sang everything from standard numbers by Gershwin and Paul Williams to The Beatles and Antonio Carlos Jobim. The performance of the three musicians in the background is outstanding. Needless to say, the performance of the three musicians in the background is superb, but the harmony of Goto's voice with the soft and floating feeling is wonderful, leading to a superb sophisticated world. This is a great album that can be listened to by a wide range of people, not just jazz fans. The drumming of Masahiko Togashi is very interesting to listen to in this way.
