A 1989 solo percussion album by German percussionist Yogo Pausch, who also recorded an excellent duo work with Hans-Günter Brodmann. A1 is driven by primitive rhythms played across toms of various sizes, while cymbals and gongs crash through the space like thunder. B3 is equally striking, with the long, ringing attack of timbales and a solid cymbal pulse filling the stereo field. Throughout the album, the percussion moves freely and dynamically across the soundstage, creating an intoxicating sense of groove and spatial movement. There is a strong ethno-spiritual quality that at times brings to mind the playing of brilliant Japanese percussionist Masahiko Togashi. Original German limited pressing with individual serial number.
A1: Too Much
B3: Sonette
