A 1985 mini-album by Zazou Bikaye, the unit formed by French maverick Hector Zazou and African vocalist Bony Bikaye. The title track A1 is a highly danceable piece, combining crystal-clear synthesizer textures and live percussion grooves with Bikaye’s African vocals. A4 is an excellent Afro-cosmic electro track, driven by a solid beat, Fela Kuti-like vocal and chorus work, and a powerful horn section, while B1 stretches A4 into an extended 13-minute version. Floor-ready Afro electro-wave throughout, with a level of quality comparable to Wally Badarou and Manu Dibango.
Deadstock, unplayed copy. The sleeve shows some minor age-related wear.
