Akira Itoh was the first member of Far East Family Band, Japan's first progressive rock band, together with Kitaro and Fumio Miyashita. After leaving the band, Ito, like the other members, left behind a number of synthesizer music pieces deeply devoted to Buddhism, the five elements theory, Indian philosophy, and other mystical Eastern thought. This album was released in 1978. This album features lead instrumentation by Noboru Kimura, bass by Keiki Ishikawa, guitar/vocals by Nobuo Hatsuji, piano/vocals by Kenji Kojo, and vocals by Goko Kunikida, and pursues a highly spiritual Japanese new age/ambient style while interweaving natural environmental sounds. The album was planned as so-called relaxation music, but it is a fusion of electronic sounds and new age tastes inherited from Far East Family Band.
