The first album by Ayakamata, a world music group of seven Dutch musicians, released in 1983. It was recorded live at a concert held in Nijmegen, the Netherlands in the same year. With the exception of one traditional arrangement and cover, all of the songs on this album are original scores by the members, and the album contains a lot of nice, lightly grooving tracks with a tropical flavor, such as highlife, Afro-beat, calypso, Afro-Cuban, and reggae. The colorful sound featuring digital synthesizers is excellent. (Chee)
