This album was released in 1984 by saxophonist Charles Lloyd, who has a deep knowledge of US black music, including blues and gospel, and has performed with Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry and many others on the free jazz side of the music industry. Recorded live at the 1983 Copenhagen Jazz Festival with Michel Petrucciani (p), Palle Danielsson (b) and Son Ship Theus (per). Ethnic jazz A1 with exotic melodies of Chinese oboe floating spiritually, light and gentle Latin groove A3, B1 featuring Bobby McFerrin's scat, spiritual jazz B2 with magnificent soundscapes, etc, A hidden gem, with some very fine live performances from start to finish. Highly recommended.
