This album was recorded in 1970 at MPS Studios by Friedrich Gulda, a leading Austrian jazz pianist who has been active at the forefront of jazz and classical music since the early 1950s. The trio line-up of Klaus Weiss (dr) and J.A. Rettenbacher (b) is also featured on this album, although Gulda's characteristic squall-like piano playing can be heard to full advantage on this release. Try the cover of 'All Blues', co-written by Mile Davis and Oscar Brown Jr. and The Doors' historical classic 'Light My Fire', which is simply amazing.
