This album was released in 1973 and features the works of George Antheil, who at the age of 25 was recognized as one of the most radical composers in the United States and died in 1959 at the age of 59. The sonatas for violin and piano on this album are characteristic and stimulating, with complex rhythms and repetitions common to the folkloric style of Strauss and Bartók, and a chain of melodies that pioneered the minimalism that appeared later in his career. The artwork is by Man Ray, an artist who led Dadaism in the U.S. with Marcel Duchamp and others. Highly recommended.
