This is the debut album from the relatively unknown American guitarist Gregory James, hailing from San Francisco, released in 1982. Gregory James has left behind only four albums, spanning from the 1980s to the early 1990s. On this album, he showcases a left-field approach to instrumental jazz-rock, incorporating various elements from jazz, rock, new wave, and progressive music. He centers his music around clean-toned electric guitars and guitar synthesizers while making extensive use of wind instruments. The result is a unique blend that hints at the West Coast's New Age sensibilities. His music also carries an ethnic flair, making it quite distinctive. There's a certain atmosphere reminiscent of Germany's Lenny Mac Dowell in his sound.
