This was featured at the column in the guide book “OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION”. An album of shocking impact left by the great shakuhachi player Hozan Yamamoto, who achieved significant accomplishments not only in classical performing arts but also in contemporary activities. Collaborating with Keikoh Shigeno, a priest of the Tendaiji Monshu sect, this album showcases the rich harmonics emitted by the recitation of the Tendaimon school's sutras, along with Yamamoto Katsuyama's shakuhachi melodies, played in a form close to almost free improvisation, blowing through like the wind. It leads to an incredible world that is difficult to describe in words. This is not classical; it is pure avant-garde. Highly recommended.
