Jamy Aebersold, a saxophonist from New Albany, Indiana, USA, who also worked as an educator, released this album in 1974 from the <Play-A-Long> series, which he has continued since 1967. It was produced for the purpose of teaching jazz chord systems and other new approaches to improvisation. All the pieces are piano trios, and each piece is played in its own key and chord. Even though it is an educational record, the music is nice, with soul jazz, bossa jazz, and other styles of music played in a very mild and pleasant groove from start to finish. The other albums are also interesting.
