An album of music by the 19th century Dutch composer Louis Philippe Drouet, supervised by Wim Mertens and released in 1985 on Lome Arme, a sub-label of the excellent Belgian label Les Disques Du Crepuscule. All compositions are for solo flute, performed by Belgian flutist Marc Grauwels. 25 Etudes are classically Romantic in orientation, but can be listened to as acoustic proto-new age pieces. Les Disques Du Crepuscule's wide range of tastes is in a way similar to Manfred Eicher of ECM.
