This solo album was released in 1986 by Lyle Mays, a well-known keyboardist in the Pat Metheny Group, and features musicians associated with the Pat Methney Group and ECM, including Nana Vasconcelos (perc), Marc Johnson (b), Bill Friesel (g), Billy Drewes (as,ss), Alejandro N. Acuna (ds), and others. Beginning with A2, which features soft percussion and electric guitar floating over synthesizer sounds reminiscent of vast expanses of land, the album contains many tracks with wonderfully deep, three-dimensional sounds and magnificent landscapes. This album is a reminder that Lyle Mays was at the core of the Pat Metheny Group sound.
