HMV Odeon (India) 1970
S/MOAE 5011 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(SRW,SPSE/TOC:Missing on two sides / tape repair, fading, stains)
media : EX/EX(a slight dust noise in some parts)

This album was released in 1970 by M.S. Subbulakshmi, a Carnatic vocalist from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. The album opens with the spoken word "A1" by Sri C. Rajagopalachari (aka Rajaji), followed by "A2" with thick double vocals swirling like waves with a light tabla beat. This is a wonderful piece of music. The highlight of this album is the unique groove of the hymn that calls out the thousand sacred names of the Hindu god Vishnu, which is included in A3 and the entire B-side.

A2: Bhaja Govindam
B1: Vishnu Sahasranamam
