This album was released in 1987 by Osamu Kitajima, a Japanese new age/ambient composer who was a member of The Ranchers in the 60s and moved to the U.S. in the 70s. In this album, he expands his orientation even further, fusing Asian folk instruments such as the koto with synthesizers and emulators to create a grand, continental oriental new age sound. The sound of various metal percussion instruments is pleasing.
