Erik Satie, a French composer who can be considered a pivotal figure from the late 19th to the early 20th century, Debussy and Ravel were also greatly influenced by him, and he was an important figure who laid the foundation for later contemporary music. This is a rare 12-inch single released in 1984, coupling performances by French pianist Pascal Roge and the contemporary chamber group, performed Satie’s most famous scores, "Three Gymnopédies" and "Gnossiennes.". It includes recordings in two different versions. Particularly outstanding is the chamber orchestra version performed by the Camarata Contemporary Chamber Group on the B-side. An ensemble with a very beautiful arrangement where the sounds of guitar, reeds, strings, and wind chimes gently dance. The sound quality is also excellent with a 45 rpm cut. Highly recommended.
