After leaving Gary Burton's group, Pat Metheny formed his own group with Lyle Mays, Mark Egan and Dan Gottlieb and released their first album on ECM in 1978. All of the songs were co-written by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, with Metheny's high-pitched guitar and Mays' bright piano, supported by Mark Egan's bass and Dan Gottlieb's drums. It's a wonderful world of sound, with everything blending together in perfect balance.
