This album was released in 1985 and features the works of Katsutoshi Nagasawa, a Japanese composer who founded the Ensemble Nipponia with Minoru Miki in 1964 and devoted himself to new music using traditional Japanese instruments. It is a five-part suite performed by a total of 13 players of traditional Japanese instruments including flute, shakuhachi, shamisen, biwa, and koto. B1 is a five-part suite depicting a child's heart dancing in the winter sky, and B2 was composed to be performed during the intermission of the play by Saneatsu Mushanokoji and directed by Osamu Takizawa. Both of these pieces allow the audience to enjoy the charm of Japanese instruments to the fullest.
