This was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. It is the debut work of Sebestyen Marta, a folk singer and actress known for performing traditional music from countries such as Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Greece, and Szorenyi Levente, a singer-songwriter who faithfully carries on Hungarian traditional music and is also a member of the rock group Fonograf. Released in 1984, this collaboration represents the most enigmatic frontier of Eastern European ethno-electronics. The album reimagines Hungarian Christmas folk songs using analog synthesizer programming, creating a unique blend of tradition and electronic sounds. Like their second album, Szerelmeslemez, released the following year, this work exudes a mysterious atmosphere born from the fusion of ethnic sentiment and electronic textures. The music remains pastoral and heartwarming throughout, offering an exceptionally rare listening experience. Highly recommended
