American saxophonist Sonny Fortune, who worked with Elvin Jones and Mongo Santamaria from the late 60's and was a member of the electric/funk Miles Davis in the 70's, participating in such historic recordings as "Get Up with It", "Agharta" and "Pangaea", released this album in 1976. Features Charles Sullivan(tp), Michael Cochrane(el-p), Buster Williams(b), Chip Lyle(ds), Angel Allende(per), Clifford Coulter(synth). The album is a masterpiece of the coolest spiritual crossover jazz, incorporating Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms and soaring horn ensembles with a sense of speed and coolness. The cosmic synthesizer sound is also excellent. Highly recommended.
