This is a 1961 recording by Stanlet Turrentine, an American saxophonist who has worked with Max Roach, Buddy Rich, and Jimmy Smith since the late 1950s and has recorded over 20 leader albums for Blue Note. It was originally planned as the third album following "Blue Hour" with The Three Sounds, but was never released. It was recorded in 1978 as one of the two albums "Jubilee Shouts" and finally released as a single album in 1987. The two horn quintet with his brother Tommy Turrentine (tp), Horace Parlan (p), George Tucker (b), and Al Harewood (ds), plays everything from driving bops to slow ballads with a lustrous and colorful excelle
