This is the first album released in 1979 by The Spick & Span, a group led by Kazuo Yoshida and featuring leading figures of the Japanese fusion scene such as Toshiyuki Daitoku and Shigeharu Mukai. The album is a crossover/fusion work that incorporates Brazilian music such as samba and batucada, but compared to their later works, it has more jazz-like elements and the performance is groovier. The uplifting rhythms and horn ensemble on A2, the Brazilian fusion B1 with its elegant flute and electric piano, and the mid-tempo mellow bossa fusion B4 with its urban yet nautical feel are particularly good.
B2: Expresso
B3: Parque Laje
