J.S. Bach : ゴルドベルグ変奏曲 / 十四のカノン
Denon (Japan) 1976
OX-7080-ND (LP) w/obi, insert (light color-fade)
sleeve : VG+(some spots.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good.)

After studying music theory with Iannis Xenakis, Yuji Takahashi became a world-renowned contemporary musician/composer/pianist along with Toshi Ichiyanagi and Toru Takemitsu. This album was released in 1971 and features his own interpretation of J.S. Bach's "Goldberg Variations" and "14 Canons". The "14 Canons," based on the eight bass notes of the Goldberg Variations Aria, which was the first recording in the world at that time, is performed with an analog synthesizer. Looking at the photo of the insert, it looks like a Roland SH-5 analog synthesizer with 2VCO. Without modifying the pitch bend or modulation, the piece is played with a round tone with a weak attack.

A1: Goldberg Variarions BWV988
B2: Fourteen Canons BWV 1087
